Accommodation listings feature the Australian Automobile Association (AAA) ratings. These ratings are intended to indicate, in a general sense, the standard of accommodation offered. All ratings are allocated on the basis of the amenities and facilities provided by the establishment at the time inspections are undertaken by AAA.

Australian Tourism Export Council

Knowing just who to do business with is one of the hardest things when dealing with a destination. In Australia, doing business with a member of the Australian Tourism Export Council (ATEC) is a good start. ATEC is the peak industry body representing the export tourism sector and has an interface with federal and state government and other industry bodies such as Tourism Australia.

ATEC is the only industry association that solely represents Australia's $24 billion tourism export sector and professionally represents the interests of over 1100 members. Members includes inbound tour operators who collate, contract, book, administer and service FIT, group, incentive, conference and cruise ship business around Australia, ATEC also represents the best in Australian tourism product suppliers including accommodation providers, tour companies, attractions, airlines, cruise lines, transport, food and beverage outlets and tourism services. All applications for ATEC membership go before the ATEC Board for approval and must meet certain criteria.

For inbound tour operator members this includes holding a current license and providing details of their business practise, experience and financial position. ATEC actively facilitates businessto- business relationships between ITOs and suppliers via national and regional workshops and familiarisations. Membership is recognised as a strong indicator of professional credibility, business reputation and international market knowledge and experience. ATEC branch and national events also include market updates, educational workshops and social networking events. ATEC is committed to taking a leading role in shaping Australia's tourism export industry and ensuring international visitors receive a quality tourism experience.

Ecotourism Australia is the peak national industry organisation for Australia's Nature and Ecotourism sector.
